Join us in making a difference this winter season
The Joshua House Warming Shelter in Newport is seeking caring, reliable volunteers to help staff the shelter overnight this winter season. The shelter, located at 501 Pleasant Street, provides a safe, warm place to sleep for up to eight guests each night during the cold-weather months (November–April).
Volunteers will:
Training for the role will be 2 consecutive nights from 6:00-8:00 at the Warming Shelter on November 19 & 20. Food will be provided.
This is a volunteer/unpaid role — but one that offers a chance to make a direct, meaningful difference in the lives of community members experiencing homelessness during Vermont's harsh winter.

The Joshua House Warming Shelter in Newport is seeking dedicated volunteers to help organize and oversee operations for this year's 8-bed seasonal cold-weather shelter, located at 501 Pleasant Street. The shelter is expected to open in late November and operate through April.
